I’m starting to wonder if I maybe have a sleeping disorder……
My weekend consisted of doing next to nothing, and yet I still end up feeling tired on Monday morning. Most of my weekends have a very definite pattern: Friday night we decide on impulse, either a movie at the cinema or at someone’s house, accompanied by a lekker kuier, which usually lasts until about 2am.
Saturday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 hubby and I have band practice with the church band, after which we’ll normally just go home and veg a bit, or go shopping or whatever tickles our fancy (we’ve been known to go to gym on Saturdays!!) I work at Greensleeves Medieval Kingdom on most Saturday nights, and get home at about 2am. (again)
Sundays are torture after a shift at ‘Sleeves. Hubby needs to be at the church at 6:45am to set up his drums, and I have to be there at 7:00am for a sound check, so we wake up at 5:00am to get ready. We have two services, and then it’s taking the drum-kit down again, so we get home at 12:30pm most of the time. This is the point where I disappear to our bedroom and fall blissfully into sleep.
This past Sunday was my sister’s birthday, so we went through to visit my mom and celebrate the happy occasion. No afternoon nap for me, but I did get to bed at 9:00pm when we finally got home. I’m still bloody tired though.
I guess I’ll live on coffee until I can get some more sleep.
